Pastor Joe Kenyon Pastor of Student Ministries

Joe started as the Pastor of Student Ministries at East Glenville Community Church in 1994. "My desire is that people see youth as the church of today as well as the church of the future. I want to connect students to the life of the church. I believe that God uses children and youth to reach others with the love of Christ and that students should have opportunities to grow, serve, reach out, worship, and fellowship in order to grow as Christians."

Joe grew up in Stephentown, NY. He was active in his high school Youth Ministry and saw the impact of youth work. Through youth group and a missions trip experience he felt God's call to pursue a career in Youth Ministry. He holds a degree in Youth Ministry from Gordon College. Joe married Sharon in 2001 and they have two sons, Matthew and Joshua.

"My favorite verses are Philippians 1:6 - 'Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus' and Psalm 54:4 - 'Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.' "
